Saturday Story featuring Ron and Marie from Livermore

Lending a helping hand to our local seniors, those dealing with an illness, have suffered a job loss or frankly just having a hard time navigating through the Covid-19 pandemic has been a very rewarding experience. One recent interview we did was with a sweet senior woman named Marie.

Marie, was introduced to FREEMEALS.ORG by her neighbor Melanie, who also resides in Livermore Ca.  Melanie helps the couple when they are in need to provide grocery shopping, taking them  to doctor appts, running  errands and even preparing a meal for them when she can. Melanie, saw an advertisement that FreeMeals.Org was helping families in need during this critical time by supplying healthy meals from restaurants they have partnered with in their local community.   After asking the couple about thier favorite types of meals, Melanie was able to provide us with the info and we went to work.  That same evening 2 hot meals were delivered to their door.

Marie was so happy to take out call, she shared with us that she and her husband Ron have been married since 1985. This beautiful former flight attendant from Michigan and a businessman from Los Angeles met on a plane headed to San Francisco where Marie would serve him a few cocktails, and they exchanged numbers.  They have been flying together ever since.

We are very happy to have provided what they call wonderful hot meals, door to door service and some much needed company for this lovely couple.
